Joining the crew at Comic Shop News
Midweek update: Excited to be a contributing editor to the long-running publication
Comic Shop News is a weekly newspaper distributed in comic-book stores, providing news, info and insight since 1987.
In exciting news for me, I’ll be joining CSN as a contributing editor, as announced in today’s issue. It’s a great fit for me, as I can work in the needed responsibilities while continuing at the day job and at the comic shop. Pick a copy up at Speeding Bullet Comics or your local comic shop, and keep an eye out for some fun articles! CSN was founded back in 1987 by Cliff Biggers and Ward Batty and continues today under publisher Dave Witting.
This is particularly gratifying for me as I remember calling and talking with Cliff Biggers when I was in college and trying to figure out a path in journalism that would allow me to write about comics as part of what I was doing. I’ve since met and interacted with Cliff at retailer events, and I’m excited all these years later to be able to contribute to this historic newspaper. I’ve got several articles scheduled and more in the works, so I recommend making this a weekly pickup if you haven’t been already!

Congrats Matt!
Congrats on this opportunity! Always a good thing to see people progressing!
