The latest Marvel series from Disney+ is “Echo,” with all five episodes available now on the streamer.
The series is based on the Marvel character Maya Lopez, created in the pages of “Daredevil” #9 by David Mack and Joe Quesada.
The character, who is deaf, was introduced into the MCU in the “Hawkeye” Disney+ series, played by Alaqua Cox.
The character’s powers have changed from the comics to the show, as is explained in the series, tying her powers more directly to her heritage.
The television character is a Choctaw from rural Oklahoma, which plays a big role in the show.
