‘My Adventures With Superman’ returning for season 2, heading to comics
Word Balloons #1215: Six-issue comic series to be set between ‘Adventures’ seasons one and two
A new Superman comic miniseries will focus on the character as seen in an animated television show.
A young Superman finding his way in Metropolis with his friends Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen is the focus of “My Adventures With Superman,” recently renewed for a second season on Adult Swim.
The animated show airs on Adult Swim and streams the next day on the Max streaming platform.
Now, this version of the Superman mythos jumps into comics, as “My Adventures with Superman” will debut in June with a six-issue comic-book series set between seasons one and two.
Here’s how DC Comics describes the comic-book series:
Picking up from the explosive end of season one, Clark's about to spend Christmas alone in Metropolis. Though he's feeling a bit down and out, a tip about a monster in the sewers sends Superman, Lois, and Jimmy into action! But what is this monster that can absorb anything it touches, and why is it here in Metropolis?
The comic book will be written by the head writer of My Adventures with Superman, Josie Campbell. The artist is Pablo M. Collar, and the main cover is drawn by series character designer Carli Squitieri.
The issue is on final order cutoff for stores this Sunday, with a release date of June 4.
Meanwhile, the second season of the TV series premieres May 25 on Adult Swim. The trailer reveals more friends and foes of Superman who will join the series this season.

Superman movie image spurs discussion
There’s a lot of online discussion over James Gunn’s new “Superman” film following the recent reveal of David Corenswet in a promotional image in the Superman costume. Whether fans are pro or con on the costume, the pose, or the overall image – it certainly has succeeded in getting chatter going about the latest film adventure of the Man of Steel. While fans await the planned July 2025 release of that film, there’s plenty of Super-content coming their way in the year leading up, including the current “House of Brainiac” storyline in the “Superman” comic-book titles.
